December 9, 2013, Falls Church, VA – AetherQuest Solutions, Inc. (AQS) is proud to announce that the firm was selected to provide event management services for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) first-ever Veterans International Small Business Opportunities Conference (VISBOC). The conference will take place at the Key Bridge Marriott in Arlington, Virginia, February 25, 2014.
The purpose of the conference is to provide a forum for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) to receive information, counseling, training, and networking opportunities that will enhance their understanding of and ability to effectively market their firms to USAID, other government agencies and prime contractors who work internationally. These government agencies include US Department of State, US Trade and Development Agency, Small Business Administration, General Services Administration, Overseas Private Investment Corporation, and Millennium Challenge Corporation.
"Veterans have years of experience working in foreign countries during their military careers," stated Jeffrey Turner, AQS' President and US Coast Guard Veteran. "Government agencies and prime contractors are looking to tap into the veteran small business community for their expertise and ingenuity to tackle a number of global issues."
At VISBOC, attendees will gain the knowledge and relationships necessary to do business with USAID and other government agencies supporting the United States' interests worldwide. The one-day event will feature educational workshops, vendor display tables, as well as business matchmaking sessions.
